Moped Rider Seriously Hurt In Collision With Car In Ashland

ASHLAND, MA — A moped rider was seriously hurt Thursday night after a collision with a car near an Ashland shopping plaza, local police reported. Police reported the collision just before 6 p.m. near a CVS shopping plaza along Route 135. A life flight helicopter touched down at the nearby Stone Park sports fields to transport the victim to the hospital. Route 135 was closed in both directions. A state police collision analysis team was expected at the scene to investigate the cause of the incident, Ashland police said.
