Woman Crashes On Pike In Framingham During Police Pursuit

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A 20-year-old Dorchester woman was injured in a crash Thursday evening along the Mass Pike in Framingham following a pursuit with state police. State police began pursuing the woman after witnesses reported she was speeding and weaving near Millbury. Around 5:30 p.m., the woman attempted to get off the freeway at exit 12 in Framingham, but crashed into a wooded area. The woman was taken to the nearby state police barracks, where she was then transported by helicopter to UMass Medical Center in Worcester. Another life flight helicopter was in the area on Thursday evening after a moped driver was injured nearby in Ashland. State police reported the woman was being released from the hospital on Thursday around 10 p.m., and was set to be charged with refusing to stop, operating to endanger, driving without license plates and speeding. Media outlets are inquiring about a crash involving a suspect MSP was pursuing on Rt 90 @ Exit 12 Framingham. A female suspect - lone occupant of vehicle - taken into custody and transported for injuries believed to be non life-threatening. The woman had been arrested — and her car impounded — on Sunday when a state trooper in Ludlow caught her driving with a stolen license plate, police said.
