FRAMINGHAM, MA — If you see a big toy soldier hanging out on your street, don't panic — you may be on your way to winning a prize. The Framingham public works and parks department have stashed wooden toy soldiers and snow people in undisclosed locations across the city as part of a holiday scavenger hunt. Residents can track the ones they find on a map for the chance to win gift cards to Target and parks programs. "After a long quarantine nap, the Toy Soldiers and Snow People have come out of hibernation and are wandering around the city," the city said Thursday in a news release announcing the hunt. "We need your help finding them, to make sure they are ready to celebrate the holidays and ring in the new year!" To participate, visit the city website to find parts of the scavenger hunt map, which will be released periodically throughout December. Using the map, mark down as many of the 58 soldiers and snow people you can find around Framingham. Framingham will accept submissions through Dec. 30. Four winners will be randomly picked from the pool of correct maps.
