I play 4-string fretted bass guitar, finger-style, and am considered adept in straight ahead rock & roll, blues-based rock (Allman Brothers Band, Bad Company, Stones, etc), old-school soul (Stax/Volt, Ray Charles, Motown), blues (jump blues, 12/8 or Chicago). My ballad approach is based on supporting the vocal while playing melodically, like Lee Sklar.
