Frame & Hang Door with Custom Jambs

Jobs

Description

Hired a handyman to buy and install a door for me and he did a crap job. Tore out what he did but now will need help framing it in and getting it hung. Will need a custom door jamb since the one he ordered was not wide enough and I don’t want to use a jamb extension. We have the hardware to hang the doors. You will need to bring the remaining materials to complete the job. Construction is 2x4 but there is 1/2” plywood added on one side. Drywall width is 1/2” on each side. Would like you to do the same when framing in the door (add plywood to one side and cut and hang drywall on each side of new framed in sections). Current opening is 87-3/4” wide x 84-3/8” tall. Rough opening for door for the jamb I have was 62-1/2" x 82". You’ll be installing right on top of new hardwood flooring. And of course, I’m sure you’ll want to measure things yourself but I mentioned everything above to give you an idea of the job for an accurate quote, and so that you can bring enough material and get it done in one day.
