We are starting to wrap up a year that none of us ever will forget. Approaching the end of 2020, I am so happy to turn to something more joyful: the holiday season and everything we have to be grateful for. Whether your traditions center around family, food, football, or fellowship, I know these holidays will look different for just about all of us. When I think about what I'm grateful for, I think of our Employees and the hard work and dedication they have shown during this challenging year. Don't just take it from me! Here's a short clip from some of our Employees sharing their moments of thanks with you. If you are traveling with us for the holidays ahead, know we will greet you with the warm smile you expect, even though you might have to see it just in our eyes. A cheerful welcome during your holiday travel now comes with the comfort of our Southwest Promise to keep your well-being and that of our Employees at the forefront. We recently collaborated with medical experts at Stanford Medicine to give us an in-depth analysis of the Southwest Promise. While our collaboration is ongoing, an advisory council from Stanford Medicine provided positive feedback on the science-based principles that drive our enhanced aircraft cleanings, face covering requirements, and utilization of HEPA filters onboard. Research indicates that these protocols can reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission during air travel. We will continue to evaluate these policies and procedures based on public health guidance and advice from medical and aviation organizations. This is just the beginning—we'll continue collaborating with Stanford Medicine for insights to inform our policies this year and into 2021.
