Within 15 minutes I had a random number reply to my post about my lost pet. I did not respond because the area code was questionable. I had 2 more random numbers text me telling me that they also found my lost pet. 3 numbers within a span of an hour texted me telling me they found my lost pet. I text one back and told me they had my bird, BUT they were going to send me a verification code to ensure the pet was really mine (really makes no sense) within minutes Google sent me a text with a verification code, this is the code this loser wanted me to share with them. THE TEXT FROM GOOGLE EVEN SAYS NOT TO SHARE THE CODE WITH ANYONE!!! THERE IS A REASON FOR THIS!! https://consumer.ftc.gov/consumer-alerts/2021/10/google-voice-scam-how-verification-code-scam-works-how-avoid-it Here is a link explaining the scam. You give them the code that's tied to your own Google account!! They will use this to access all your personal info!!! Please share this with as many people as you can. Especially older individuals since they are an easy target.
