Why am I E-listed? I’m STRESSED from long periods of kennel confinement. I bark and spin in my kennel and bite at the gate. I have even jumped over the top because I’m so desperate to get out!! It is inhumane to keep me here in this condition! Will you help me? Will you save my life? I’m a 3-year-old, neutered, brindle and white American Pitbull Terrier (70 lbs.). I was a stray dog wandering. The person who found me couldn't keep me and took me to the shelter. He said I love both adults and kids. Here, the volunteers say I'm happy but a bit shy. My tail wags with excitement when someone comes to take me out. I am easy to leash and return to my kennel, come when called, and take treats gently. When I’m out in the yard I LOVE to explore and sniff and can be petted all over…head, ears, body. I can be timid on walks, occasionally pancaking to the ground, but I get up and go with encouragement. I haven’t had a dog-to-dog assessment at the shelter, so how I am with other dogs is unknown. That said, when I’m out on a walk, I show interest in other dogs but am non-reactive when they pass by. The shelter recommends that I meet the entire family before going home and that I be given adequate time to warm up. This noisy, chaotic place is the problem, not me! I need to be out of here ASAP and into a home where I can de-stress (go on walks, play, and have time to unwind). I don’t want to die! Will you please come meet me before it is too late?
