Keyboard player and former career DJ newer to area would like to find a like minded guitarist and any other players who prefer jazzy, funky, groove style music to create a fun playlist and start playing out.then adopted leaving poor Jay utterly alone in a concrete cell. Pulled just in time from Animal Services by a rescue organization, just to be attacked by other dogs at the rescue facility, left poor Jay shaken and hopeless. Depression set in and Jay was losing her will to fight on. But all was not lost, and another rescue organization stepped up and fostered Jay with a wonderful family. Keyboard player doubles on Guitar, looking for working band. Professional level. Influences include, Steely Dan, Pat Metheny Group, Beatles, Vince Gill, Larry Carlton, Pink Floyd, and others from 70's 80's era. Must be solid players who take getting sound and parts seriously, and play at reasonable levels for the size room. Contact ASAP. I have all equipment including PA, plus transportation. Reliable and professional. Only serious positions with persons looking to develop high level local band. No 50's 60's bands.Moved here 1-1/2 years ago and put together a very nice studio with full PA, 24-Track recording capability, High Speed Internet, 300 Watt Fender BXR Bass amp, Drum set, extra guitar amp and ample space. I'm wanting to target the 40 plus crowd that appreciates early 90's (Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Pearl Jam, Radiohead) as well as tasteful classic rock (Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Led Zep, etc.) I play guitar and sing and I'm hoping to find a 2nd guitarist that can do the same with a complimentary range (I'm a baritone with a decent range) and the ability to harmonize so maybe we can switch off tunes. I'm also open to 3rd melodic instrument....ie violin, cello, or mandolin, or keys etc. No percussion.I'm in the Spring/Woodlands area. I've heard this done at many places around town and frankly, I think we can do as good or better than most of what I've heard. I'm in my 40's but open to multi-generational thing.
