NAUGATUCK, CT — Police arrested two people and seized 666 grams of Fentanyl, more than $8,000 in cash and a gun during a drug bust last week in Naugatuck. The Drug Enforcement Administration, in conjunction with Naugatuck police, executed search warrants in the 100 block of Main Street around 6 a.m. on Nov. 12. The warrants stemmed from a long-term narcotics investigation in Waterbury and Naugatuck, according to police. Naugatuck K-9 Judge was also used in the operation, which led to the seizure of about 666 grams of Fentanyl, $8,027 in cash and a Smith and Wesson .38 handgun, according to police. Police said two convicted felons, Myrice Q. Hodge and Debra Rodriguez, were arrested during the operation. Hodge, 33, of North Main Street in Naugatuck, was charged with sale of illegal narcotics, illegal possession of narcotics, illegal possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a firearm. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 30. Rodriguez, 28, of New York, New York, was charged with sale of illegal narcotics, illegal possession of narcotics, illegal possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a firearm. "Working in collaboration with our federal and local partners, the Naugatuck Police Department continues to take enforcement action against those sell and distribute these harmful narcotics within our community," police said.
