Join the Anselm Society for a night of Tolkien-themed fun! There is no “heaven” and “earth” as we’ve commonly come to understand them; harps and clouds on the one hand and unimportant physical matter on the other. Earth is charged with the grandeur of God, and we can learn to see His character and His workmanship crackling through every fiber of the world we live in. Join us for an evening with the man who has made most of us feel whispers of this at one time or another: J.R.R. Tolkien. We’ll experience his fairy story “Smith of Wooton Major” retold by Leslie Bustard, music and activities to inspire us to see the magic and meaning in the created order—and as always, Anselm’s legendary food, drink, and conversation.
