compensation: $17 hour/ plus OT EXCELLENT SUMMER JOB FOR STRONG WORKERS Boston Salads is an innovative creator of fresh, healthy salads, soups and deli entrees for the New England region with three Boston locations. We are proud of our excellent products and our manufacturing operation located right in the city of Boston, employing local staff. We also have FREE PARKING at all of our locations Learn more about us at: Status: Hourly (OT eligible) –Seasonal – may be offered regular employment based on business need and employee performance Schedule: Full-time; starting at 8 am; position requiring flexibility in scheduling; overtime required. Location: Chesterton Street, Boston (off Mass Avenue near McDonalds) on bus line and free parking RESPONSIBILITIES: • Weigh and prepare product for packaging • Process and package food • Place product on conveyor belt, in containers or on freezer trays • Package product and palletize boxes • Clean machines and keep area clean • Must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices — no jewelry, watches, rings, piercings, nothing in pockets/mouth, frequent hand washing, etc. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment • Must have the ability to withstand cold temperatures as the entire plant is refrigerated • Must be physically able to stand, walk, bend and lift 50 pounds/ move frequently during shift REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (just wear warm clothes) and lift boxes up to 50 pounds • Must be able to work in US indefinitely without sponsorship • Experience in food manufacturing preferred • High School Diploma required • Fluent in English • Committed to safety at all times; must follow all food and safety regulations • Excellent attendance and a team player; can-do attitude • Boston Salads requires pre-employment and random drug screening • Ability to get along with others, work well with others, help out WORK CONDITIONS: · Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, including pot (we are a federally regulated industry).
