Description

Learn to cook international dishes from the people who make-up Cincinnati's melting pot! Muna Adhikari is a part-time student and this years Welcome Project Americorps fellow. She moved to the United States at the age of six from Nepal as a refugee, and has designed programming this term to fit our mission as part of her role within Wave Pool. Please see the below her statement on why she developed this cooking class. About the class... With the ongoing conflicts in the world today, it is now more important than ever that we learn to have compassion and understanding for the people in our communities that are different from us. The Karahi (Kuh-Rah-He) Project will enable Cincinnati’s non immigrant population to connect and understand the people that make the city so diverse by learning to cook some of their foods in a class taught by them. *Karahi (Pronounced Kuh-Rah-He): A steep wok-like flat bottomed pan traditionally used in South Asian cooking. The Karahi Project is created and managed by Muna Adhikari, our NDMVA Cincinnati Americorps fellow '22. Please contact Muna with any questions, [email protected]
