Please join us in celebrating Uschi’s outstanding accomplishment and contributions to the College of Science & Engineering at SF State Dr. Ursula Simonis (better known as Uschi) graduated from the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster with a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry. She joined San Francisco State University as a postdoctoral researcher where she pioneered paramagnetic NMR spectroscopy with her postdoctoral advisor Prof. F. Ann Walker. She continued her excellent teaching and research career as a faculty member of the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry. Given her excellent track record in obtaining external funding for her research and for the college, she was appointed Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development at San Francisco State University where she tirelessly supported student and faculty research activities. We are delighted to celebrate her achievements at the CoSE Student Project Showcase, which represents her commitment to research and scholarly acitivities at SFSU.
