Description
It breaks my heart to post this but I need to find a new home for our dog. She is a 9 year old fixed border collie/pit Bull mix. We moved here in 2020 from a half an acre into an apartment with almost no yard. I’m working 2 jobs to support my kids and am gone all night every night, leaving her alone for 10 hours, she hates it. She’s been by my side since she was 6 months old. Great with kids as she’s been with my 4 since my oldest (9) was 6 months old. She’s been around chickens and ducks, rabbits, cats and other dogs. She does not care for overly rambunctious big dogs and doesn’t like to be mounted as she has arthritis in her hips. I have prescriptions for her arthritis that last 3 months and costs less than$10 to fill as well as hemp treats we give her daily. Looking for a home that has a yard and family that can spend more time with her. She is an amazing dog and will make a great companion for anyone young or old. Her name is Dog, she is around 50lbs, a little taller than the average collie. Loves adventures but dislikes car rides. Doesn’t like to swim but loves to go fishing for rocks. Great camper, beach comber, and cuddler. Loves a comfy spot in the warm sun on a beautiful day in the grass. Does not chew and has only dug to get out of the tiny yard we have at this apartment when left outside. But she is not an escape artist. She is an inside dog so she will need a home that understands that and intends to keep her inside. She likes a good bone or a fat stick to chew on but like I said she will not chew up your belongings. I’m not asking for a rehoming fee, but I would like it if my kids can visit her on occasion. They’ve grown up with her and we would not otherwise rehome her if we had any other option. She will come with a dog house, kennel (which she absolutely hates and will break out of if left in it for any length of time or unattended), her travel dog bed we use for camping, food/water dishes, harness, leashes, huge bag of her current food and anything else we find.
