WEDDING DJ ASSISTANT

DRJ Productions is in need of a DJ’s assistant! This position starts in May/June, as wedding season begins. Looking for a young man, who has the following attributes: -MUST be in good shape and able to lift up to 50 lbs -MUST be presentable, and have a nice outfit for weddings Duties would include: -help with load in/load out -help with setup/breakdown -assist with sound checking, cues, and working with other staff like wedding coordinators, caterers, etc. -capture footage (photos and videos) -majority of the time you will be sitting/hanging around the DJ Bonus consideration if you have the following: -you live in CDA, Post Falls or around these towns -event work experience (like working for a wedding or event venue) -great music knowledge / music lover -wanting to be an event DJ in the future and/or have your own DJ equipment (this would be great experience for anyone wanting to become an event party DJ!) Ideally, someone who doesn’t have children or anything that could prevent them to showing up to a scheduled gig. A typical wedding is 5-6 hours long, and we’d show up between 2-3 hours before to setup. 30-45 minutes to breakdown and be out of a venue. Most weddings end around 10pm. Again, this mostly Saturdays only (average would be 2-3 Saturdays a month). I don’t expect you to come to every wedding, or be there the entire time. If you can at least make it to the bigger weddings and be there for a few hours (like from 30 minutes prior to ceremony start up until 30 minutes after dancing has begun), that would be great!
