Description

The Mental Health & Wellness Committee is committed to promote mental health awareness and holistic health from an equitable lens. "In honor of Mental Health Awareness month, the Office of Student Equity & Success and the Mental Health & Wellness committee are hosting the annual Equity MINDset Conference! Modeled after our “Community Conversations”, this exciting conference will feature a keynote speech by motivational speaker, Dr. La’Tonya Rease Miles, advocate and first-generation speaker, who will speak about the critical connection between mental health and racial equity. This space will allow for student participants to discuss and respond in a supportive environment on current issues and events, race-related stress and trauma, their needs and challenges regarding their mental health and emotional well-being, sense of belonging on campus, and academic success. Dinner and a conference care package will be provided! This is co-sponsored by the Mental Health & Wellness Committee and Office of Student Equity & Success"
