Natural Yarn Dyeing II FRIDAY Painting yarn by hand or hand using roots, flowers, berries, leaves, fruit, bark and seeds, has been a long-standing practice all over the world to obtain color on woolen fiber and yarns. Back by popular demand, we're hand painting and steaming fiber and yarn. Natural dyer, Calandra Cooper will lead workshop participants through the colorful world of natural dyes using mostly foraged and easily found natural items, including roots, bark, leaves, berries, mud, seeds, bugs, vegetables and natural pigments. With very limited knowledge Mother Nature opens up great possibilities in dyeing naturally; yielding rich lasting colors. During this workshop, you'll learn how to extract to dye natural fiber and yarn. Each participant will receive two yarn to make two skeins and natural sheep fiber and/or roving to dye. All supplies included. Natural fibers (plant and animal) will be used during this workshop. No commercial or synthetic dyes will be used during this workshop. This class may be conducted outdoors. As this is a service. All sales are final. There are no refunds. Worshops are designed for ages 19 and older.
