Located in beautiful Balboa Park Join TrapfitnessUS for a energetic, 55-minutes full body yoga flow. Explore the fundamental postures of Vinyasa yoga, set to heavy bass trap music playlists. "Trap Yoga” is an all-levels, foundations-building class. Beginners are welcome. Come ready to work every muscle as we vibe and link breath to movement. Trap yoga is a style of yoga class that combines the physical asana practice with trap music, a type of hip-hop that originated in the southern United States. Trap yoga was created to provide a welcoming environment for newcomers who might feel uncomfortable in the silence of a traditional class or in a class with music that didn't reflect their culture. At the same time, Trap yoga is designed to empower the yogis and promote wellness. *Don't forget your yoga mat, a towel, and/or water. Feel free to bring blankets and other items that may help you get comfortable. All levels classes have the ability to meet you where you are, creating an environment of growth for both beginner and experienced yogis. Classes offer modifications for poses giving yogis the opportunity to find the variation of the pose that best suits their personal practice. Trap Yoga is more than a class, it a philosophy, utilizing the tools of alchemy and the embodied practice of asana to empower yogis and non yogis to rewrite the story of their bodies. What started out as a way to explore self expression in my yoga practice while flowing to trap music in my living room has become something much bigger than me, it’s become an opportunity for all to embody self love!
