FALMOUTH, MA — Falmouth High School was forced to dismiss classes early Monday after a "school member" tested positive for the coronavirus. According to a statement sent out to parents, school was dismissed at 10:45 a.m. out of an abundance of caution. Superintendent Lori Duerr said both cohorts A and B will work remotely until the high school reopens for in-person classes on Friday. "Although the entire school staff and students were not exposed, we do not have enough staff to cover all the classes to keep the school open," Duerr said in the statement. Duerr said Public Health Nurse Jennifer Reissfedler will contact and students or staff who were exposed. Any student tested for the coronavirus was asked to report their result to Reissfelder. She can be reached at [email protected] or 774-392-6477.
