FALMOUTH, MA — Over 14,000 Falmouth voters have cast ballots in the Nov. 3 general election, as of Wednesday night, Town Clerk Michael Palmer said Thursday. That's already 52 percent of Falmouth's registered voters.
The ballots cast are more than 69 percent of the 2016 presidential election total of 20,274, one week before the polls close. In the September state primary election, 9,202 votes were cast in Falmouth.
Palmer said every day has been busy for early voting so far, with the first few days seeing the biggest lines.
"Everyday we've had lines outside the building," Palmer said. "We only let three people in at a time, but there's been lines consistently."

Due to the pandemic, early voting and mail voting were both greatly expanded in Massachusetts. Early in person voting was available for two weeks, ending Friday, and mail voting was made available to all voters, with no excuse needed.
In addition to the presidential election, Falmouth voters are casting their ballots in state and federal legislative races and two statewide ballot measures.
