TAMPA, FL — A Tampa man has been arrested after being accused of robbing of a string of bank robberies that began in February.
Tampa police have charged James Junior Williams, 43, with three felony counts of robbery. However, they say Williams may face other charges once the investigation is completed.
On Wednesday morning, police said Williams walked into the Regions Bank at 2405 Swann Ave. and demanded cash but fled before the teller could fill the bag. An hour later, police say Williams successfully robbed a bank in Hillsborough County. He was identified and arrested by sheriff's deputies Thursday.
He is also accused of robbing a Fifth Third Bank on Swann Avenue on Feb. 8 and March 8.
