Press release from Delaware State Chamber of Commerce: April 13, 2022 Pete Booker is retiring as Executive Director of the Delaware Safety Council. Mr. Booker has held the position of Executive Director of the Delaware Safety Council since 2019. Booker originally retired from his long-time role as president of Delmarva Broadcasting Co. in July of 2015. "Pete's decades of experience in Delaware media enabled him to leave a significant footprint in a short tenure with the Delaware Safety Council", stated Board Co-Chair of DSC, Sam Waltz. After his initial retirement from Delmarva Broadcasting, Pete and his wife Susan became fulltime residents of Lewes, Delaware. Pete, however, is not going too far; he is transitioning from Executive Director of Delaware Safety Council to the board of the century-old non-profit. Stacey Inglis, DSC's first female director. Inglis was named the new Executive Director and began on April 1, 2022. For the past five years Inglis was Vice President of Marketing/Historic and Cultural Affairs with the Tilton Mansion which is home to the University and Whist Club. Prior to that, Ms. Inglis was Senior Vice President of Marketing/Research and Development with Steuben Foods headquartered in Buffalo, NY. Throughout her career, Stacey has held various executive management positions in the food and beverage, automotive and hospitality industries. She is certified in non-profit management through the University of Delaware. The Delaware Safety Council (DSC) was established in 1919 by DuPont Company President Irénée du Pont. The Delaware Safety Council is a private, non-governmental, non-profit 501(c)3 safety resource and training organization. The Delaware Safety Council serves hundreds of businesses in Delaware and the Mid-Atlantic region. Our Mission is to promote the protection of life and health in the workplace, in the home, on the highway, and in the community by actively providing education/training resources and services.
