The Central Mass Mosquito Control Project will be conducting its annual aerial larviciding program in Chelmsford on Wednesday April 20th. Pellets are distributed in wetland and ponding areas by helicopter.
This aerial application has taken place in Chelmsford for the past 17 years. The application is designed to reduce mosquito emergence in May and June. The product that is used is Bti, a natural bacteria that is certified organic and is non-toxic to humans, pets, and other wildlife.
