FALMOUTH, MA — October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Falmouth police are joining hundreds of first responders across the country and switching their usual police patches in for pink ones. Officers will be wearing the patches as well as selling them — it's all part of the Pink Patch Project. The Pink Patch Project is a nationwide awareness campaign where police departments sell pink patches during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Falmouth Police Department will be selling a limited edition patch and other merchandise that showcase the Town of Falmouth seal in pink. The patches are $10, hats are $20 and t-shirts are $20 for smalls to extra larges and $25 for double and triple extra larges. All proceeds will go to Cape Cod Healthcare Cancer Center Services in Falmouth at the Clark Cancer Center & Seifer Women's Health & Imaging Center.
