Practical teaching designed to help caregivers, communities, and the Church better serve children impacted by early childhood trauma Join us in person on April 23rd to experience practical teaching designed to encourage, educate, and equip active and prospective adoptive and foster parents, as well as those who are serving and supporting children with trauma histories (e.g., social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, teachers, medical care providers, and therapists.) Learning modules include: An Introduction to Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) : “Going Deeper” topic to include the importance of understanding ACES Connecting Principles : “Going Deeper” topic to explore connecting with teensEmpowering Principles: “Going Deeper” topic to unpack sensory integrationCorrecting Principles : “Going Deeper” topic to discuss the IDEAL Response TBRI and the Gospel : “Going Deeper” topic to discover together the ultimate hope found in Christ Schedule SATURDAY, APRIL 23rd 8:30am - 9:00am Check-in9:00am-10:30am Module 1: An Introduction to Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®)10:30am-10:45am Break10:45am-12:15pm Module 2: TBRI® Connecting Principles 12:15pm-1:00pm Lunch*1:00pm-2:25pm Module 3: TBRI® Empowering Principles 2:25pm-2:35pm Break2:35pm-4:00pm Module 4: TBRI® Correcting Principles 4:00pm-5:00pm Module 5: TBRI® and the Gospel*Onsite boxed lunch will be provided. Childcare, including snacks and lunch, will be available onsite for foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Please note that reservations for childcare must be made through the registration process by Monday, April 11th to ensure sufficient staffing.
