Press release from the Nassau County Government: April 15, 2022 WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport) is partnering with the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission (ARC) to host his office's third free, virtual community tax grievance workshop to inform residents about how to challenge their assessed property values online. The workshop is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 21. During this virtual workshop, taxpayers who disagree with the assessed value of their property can submit via chat any questions to the representatives from ARC and learn how to navigate the online grievance process and dispute their assessment. Questions will be answered after the presentations and/or the representatives will contact you directly. Earlier this year, Legislator Abrahams and his Minority Caucus colleagues successfully advocated for extending the deadline to file a grievance with ARC. Residents now have until Monday, May 2nd to submit their application. Residents who would like to participate should visit https://www.nassaucountyny.gov/LD1.
