EASTON, MA — Stonehill College President Fr. John Denning informed the school community Monday night that an employee at the Easton school has received a presumptive positive coronavirus test. Denning said the school has reached out to all community members who were in close contact with this employee. Denning said the school is following all preventive measures that have been put in place and will inform the school community of any updates. Stonehill last week canceled all on-campus classes through at least March 27. More information and updates from the school can be found here. "Please continue to pray for one another and especially for those members of our community whose health has been impacted," Denning said in a statement Monday night. Deering said the school was informed late Friday night that school employees were exposed to a non-employee who tested positive for coronavirus at an off-campus location. Deering said the school's Emergency Response Group continues to monitor the situation and will update the community prior to March 27 regarding whether it plans to extend remote learning, work from home, and other safety measures.
