Press release from the City of Wilkes-Barre: April 13, 2022 The first block of South Main Street between Public Square and Northampton St. will be closed on Wednesday, April 20th from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM so contractors can install new HVAC units near Midtown Village. Flaggers will be located at Northampton St. to assist vehicles attempting to get to the South Main St. garage. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
