JOLIET, IL — An 18-year-old teenager has been banned from setting foot on the property of the Joliet Central High School following his arrest this week on felony charges from Joliet police. On Monday, Joliet police officers booked Marcello Pope into the Will County Jail on two felony charges of criminal damage to property. The criminal complaint indicates that Pope broke several of the glass windows at Joliet Central. Each of his charges indicates the damage Pope caused to Joliet Central was between $500 to $10,000. Bail for Pope was set $10,000, and he is not allowed to have any contact with Joliet Central High School in the event that he can post bond, court documents show. Will County Jail records listed Pope as being an Indiana residents, but the Will County court records listed Pope as being a Joliet resident from the 1600 block of Marquette Road. Pope remained in the Will County Jail on Saturday. He will have a bond re-hearing on Monday, court documents indicate.
