JOLIET, IL —Adrian Solano, an 18-year-old Joliet teenager who lives on the city's west side, remains in the Will County Jail facing a $150,000 bail, and if he posts bond, Solano cannot associate with any gang members in the future, a Will County judge ordered. Solano was arrested by Will County Sheriff's deputies during a traffic stop at Jackson and Collins Streets last Sunday. The Will County State's Attorney's Office has charged Solano with two counts of possessing a gun without a valid Firearm Owner's Identification, defacing the identification marks on a gun and four counts of aggravated unlawful use of weapons. "Deputies ran a check of the vehicle, and it was confirmed that it had potentially been wanted in Berwyn for a shooting that had occurred in their jurisdiction," Will County Sheriff's spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer informed Joliet Patch. Three people were in the car at the time of the traffic stop on Joliet's east side. Will County Sheriff's deputies searched the car and found two different Glock handguns with no serial numbers, according to Hoffmeyer. Solano told deputies both guns were his, and he refused to answer any further questions, Hoffmeyer indicated. Solano does not have a valid FOID card, sheriff's reports show. The two people with him were released at the scene with no criminal charges. Court records indicate that Will County Judge Derek Ewanic handled the bail hearing for Solano, who lives in the 1600 block of Stratford Court, which is near Campbell Street. Solano remained in the Will County Jail on Saturday, and his next court hearing is set for May 2 in Courtroom 405 of Judge Dave Carlson.
