Hi, I'm Carly🎀 (sociability with dogs unknown…would need to keep separate initially, with a SLOW introduction to dog in home.). I’m set to be euthanized April 20th, 8 am. Why am I E-listed? STRESS!! It’s sad...No matter where I’m housed at the shelter (outside kennel or large indoor room), I can’t settle down. I bark and jump and anxiously chew on my tail causing it to BLEED! It is inhumane to keep me here!! Can you save my life? I’m a 2-year-old, spayed, white and red American Pit Bull Terrier Mix (52.1lbs.). When I came to the shelter as a stray, I was anxious…tail tightly tucked, ears back, and wide-eyed. At times, I can still get nervous and unsure when going from place to place. Volunteers describe me as very friendly, easy to leash, and easy to take out and return to my kennel. I come up for attention, sometimes “play bowing” to get it. I like pets and will lean in for more. When I am around other dogs, I can get overly excited and pull towards them. I’m struggling mentally and can’t take being in this noisy, chaotic place much longer!! I need to be out of here ASAP. It is suggested that I have an experienced adopter, that I meet the entire family, that children in the home be older and that I have in-home training. When I go to your home, I will definitely need time to decompress and relax. Can you be the one to help me?... Will you save my life?
