EASTON, MA — The Easton Fire Department on Friday morning used the Jaws of Life to free the driver of an SUV that crashed into a tree off Route 138. Easton fire said the crash occurred near the Raynham line at about 7:30 a.m. Easton fire and police said the driver, a 51-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Firefighters used the hydraulic extrication tools to free the woman from the SUV. She was taken to Boston Medical Center with injuries that re believed to be serious, but non-life threatening. The initial investigation indicates that the woman suffered from a medical episode shortly before the crash. Route 138 was closed to one lane while crews investigated, but were opened later Friday morning. E 12 R13 at Rt 138 near RAYNHAM Line single car into a tree.
