I would also consider an original band depending on the material. I also sing well, and can handle backups or leads. As a guitar player, I am very solid as a rhythm player, and can take my share of leads, but I am no shredder.I really miss hanging out and jamming with fellow musicians. I sing mesosoprano, and play the djembe (trained in West African style). Very eclectic and versatile with a wide range. Hey all, I'm a 34 year old singer/guitarist looking for other guitarists, bassists, drummers, singers or whatever. I'd be down to do covers or original stuff, would also like to find a writing partner or something like that. I'd also be interested in an acoustic duo. Been playing for over about 15 years, can play drums and a little piano as well. I've got a lot of gigging experience, great gear, and am very driven and passionate about music. or production out of a DIY studio with experience and care, then I can help you attain your vision. I have a job and kids, so not looking to "make it", but playing paying gigs would be a great goal. So, I look at it as a serious hobby intended to be fun, but handled professionally. I mainly use PRS guitars and Fender/Peavey tube amps. Boss ME 80 for effects. We are an all ORIGINAL rock band in the vein of Triumph, Journey, Doken & Aerosmith. We can pair well as an opening band for your clubs "tribute band nights", of similar 80's hard rock music tributes. Or on a bill with other "original" hard rock bands. We do request at least a set time of 50-60 minutes (not including set up/tear down time)! Again, we'd prefer to be the opening act. Looking for shows primarily in the Orange County area. Or within 30-miles if outside O.C. Looking for shows starting in mid-July and beyond. Pay negotiable. Going for 70's funk combined with 90's punk/funk/hip-hop. Think Tower of Power, James Brown, The Bamboos meets early Chili Peppers, Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys - Check your Head era. This project can rock too, but really looking for upbeat funky players. About me, I'm 53 (just wanted to get that out of the way), and have 40 years experience in gigging and recording. I have played a lot on the strip in alternative cover bands, but would like to do mostly originals. No beginners or sketchy mf'ers! Email me if interested. I am not super into country, though a couple more rocking country songs here and there are OK. Interesting takes on pop could be fun. But, mainly I am interested in rock, hard rock and even metal. I am also a capable singer. I have audio and video samples available. I am able to pick up any band instrument and play it well to cover any unusual cancellations in a band performance. Dependable. Good transportation. A place to practice. Adequate equipment. Have much professional experience and over 125 cover tunes and countless originals. Wide variety of music from the 60’s spanning to up to date songs. With interest in multiple genres. Particularly like songs with a rhythm and beat.
