Tan Short Furr Boxer Like Dog in Ferndale

This Saturday early afternoon while driving through 9 mile in Ferndale, I saw a gentleman walking a unique I have never seen before dog. He had short tanned fur, of medium size and looks like boxer but a bit larger. Boxers normally have reddish brown short fur, but not this dog. I wonder by chance if the dog parent see this post and let me know what type of dog it is.
