Staples Warehouse Receiving and Putaway 1st Shift PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME $18.50/hr, plus $1000 new hire bonus 19499 NE Riverside Pkwy, Portland, OR 97230 What you’ll be doing: As a Warehouse Receiving/Putaway Associate, you’ll be operating material handling equipment to move product within the warehouse. You will check-in inbound product and tag product accordingly. In this role, you’ll be lifting, lowering and carrying product in a fast-paced environment, unloading trucks and putting away product while maintaining a safe and clean workspace by clean and sweep work area and remove trash as you go. You will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers. What you bring to the table: Shift : Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm Pay Rate : $18.50/hr WE ARE OFFERING A $2,000 RETENTION BONUS *$1000 paid at 60 and at 120 days* An ability to be MHEO certified and safely operate necessary material handling equipment An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with vendors and team members An ability to solve problems and a keen attention to detail A strong working knowledge of technology including warehouse systems and ability to work on multiple screens An ability and willingness to keep work area clean An inclusive approach with your colleagues and customers to forge strong relationships and foster collaboration to resolve issues An ability to adopt our safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practices An ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations Schedule - Shift start: 6:00AM or 9:00AM - Shift length: 5.5 - 8.5 hours - Days: Part time is 9am-2:30pm Monday - Friday and Full time is 6am-2:30pm Monday - Friday. Full time will have mandatory OT during Peak Benefits - Health, dental, vision insurance - Paid time off - 401k Requirements - What’s needed- Basic Qualifications - - Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience - Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications) - As a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need - Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed - Must be at least 18+ years old - Must pass drug screen (cannabis excluded) - Must pass background check - Can lift 100 lbs Bonus $1000 new hire incentive This bonus will be paid out in two separate installments (day 60 and day 120) and is based on meeting company expectations regarding performance and conduct.
