Drum Set lessons are available with Ken Bowie in the Richmond area, now accepting a limited number of new students in person. Ken is an experienced and versatile drummer with a love of performing and a love of teaching. He has a Bachelor of Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University as well as a wealth of experience as both a performing musician and as a teacher. Ken teaches technique (including double bass drum), reading, timekeeping/patterns for various styles, and improvisation/soloing; all with the needs and interests of the student in mind. Ken guides every student for success within each lesson. Whether you're new to the drums or interested in taking your playing to another level, private lessons with an experienced, compassionate teacher will help take you beyond. Lessons are taught in a spacious and well equipped home music studio near Mechanicsville. Proof of Covid vaccination is required at the first lesson for new students, parents, and anyone accompanying the student to lessons.
