Description
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Woodbridge Twp. had a "rough weekend," with 91 new cases of coronavirus over three days: 41 on Friday, 14 on Saturday and 36 on Sunday, said Mayor John McCormac.
There are, however, no new deaths to report.
According to McCormac, this is Woodbridge's worst stretch of high daily cases since late April.
Woodbridge was averaging 15 new cases per day for the first half of October, but after Oct. 17, it's been double digits in new cases every day since then.
The numbers are slowly climbing back up to April levels: Woodbridge's last day with at least 41 cases was April 25.
However:
"We have found only five that have required hospitalization so from that standpoint we are nowhere near the severity of COVID-19 when it first hit in the spring," he said.
