Seeking individuals who love serving their community and enjoying the outdoors simultaneously. Last year was the first year I gathered some folks to help plant and maintain a small vegetable garden for the elderly/disabled. We were able to help 2 people in need and would love to greatly expand that this year! What we do: Plant vegetables that I grow from seed at home. Harvest the vegetables for the recipient once per week. Stop by to weed once per week. Our volunteers are never allowed in the recipients home for safety and security purposes. All of the above are totally free of charge and is purely volunteer..
