We are seeking the services of a licensed geotechnical engineer to certify that our private lane meets Fire Department regulations for access to a new pole barn. Please call or text. The Fire Department requirements: “Fire apparatus access must support the imposed loads of fire apparatus (85,000 pounds), and must have a surface that provides all-weather driving capabilities. The roadway shall be designed to direct any drainage away from the road, which will allow for continued use during moisture situations The access road must be examined and certified by a Colorado-Licensed Professional Engineer practicing in the discipline of Geotechnical Engineering. The certification provided to the Fire District shall bear the original signature and stamp of the Professional Engineer and shall attest that the access road meets the Fire District’s aforementioned specifications.”
