The Neuse River Big Band is currently looking for accomplished and proficient jazz musicians can read jazz music in the style of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, etc.: 1) A jazz pianist that can comp and read music. Jazz improvisation ability desired. 2) A rhythm guitar player that can read music. Jazz improvisation desired but not required. Our band is a community big band that plays shows for fun (not paid) to the public about 3-4 times per year and possibly more! We rehearse in Garner on Thursdays from 7pm -9pm.
