MILFORD, CT — The Milford Police Department announced on social media that the owners of the Connecticut Post Mall, 1201 Boston Post Road, have implemented a parental escort policy for guests under the age of 18. The policy goes into effect at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 and continues through Jan. 3, 2021. It is enforced Monday-Friday from 3 p.m. until close and on the weekends from 1 p.m. until close. In order to provide a safe and comfortable shopping environment @CTPostMall will immediately implement a Parental Escort Policy (PEP) for guests under the age of 18. Effective 3PM Fri 12/18- Sun 1/3. M-F enforced 3PM-close S-S enforced 1PM-close. -Ken Sterba, CRRP— Milford CT PD (@MilfordCTPD) December 18, 2020 Full details announced by the mall: CONNECTICUT POST MALL ANNOUNCES "PARENTAL GUIDANCE REQUIRED" PROGRAM WHAT: To encourage families to take advantage of a pleasant and safe shopping environment, Connecticut Post Mall will implement a "Parental Guidance Required" Program beginning this Friday, December 18th. Effective Friday, December 18th through Sunday, January 3rd visitors ages 17 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult age 21 or older during designated hours. Unsupervised youth shopping prior to 3:00 pm Monday – Friday or prior to 1:00 pm on Saturday/Sunday must leave the mall by the designated time or will need to be joined by a parent or supervising adult age 21 or older. One adult may accompany up to four (4) youths. All accompanied youths must always remain with the supervising adult while at the mall. Proof of age may be required for the youth or supervising adult (such as a state issued driver's license or state ID). Those who lack proper identification will be asked to leave the property.
