Immediate opportunity: flexible schedule, part time or full time for personal assistant/house manager. * Life Experience Required: This isn't a position for a 16 year old looking for a summer job. That's another ad, I'm sure. I'm looking for someone with 1. Life Experience (i.e. I'm not hiring someone so that I can have the extreme pleasure of teaching them how the DMV tag renewal process works, or how to fill out a check --you should know how to do these things if you are applying for personal assistant position). 2. Preferred Personal Assistant Experience (it's a delicate balance to be the liaison--to take things off a busy person's plate without became a little too enmeshed in their personal life--if you've done this job for someone else before, that's great)* Variety of duties--every day may be different. No childcare--but there are cats and dogs in the house. Skills Requirements (other than knowing how to go to DMV and how to fill out a paper check): Ability to figure some things out (I'm going to give you a list of things--and I won't have 25 minutes to have an extended conversation about the list). Discretion is required (nothing top secret or scandalous I just don't want to be the topic of your dinner conversations or hear a story about myself that could have only come from you). Prefer basic technology comfort (be able to figure out why the cable tv doesn't work, or fix the router, help my mom install Venmo or Wordle on her phone etc). While I have 100 things that may need to be done, I'm not expecting that you'll be a fit for all of them--so we'll work together to see what 20 things are "you" things. Maybe you have some basic accounting skills--great, you can help get bills ready to pay. Or maybe you love gardening--wonderful, we have a giant yard that needs some love. Or maybe you have your best zen moments running errands--there are a million that need done. Mileage paid if using personal car, otherwise a vehicle is available for use. Pay is by direct deposit every Friday. Background check will be required.
