Diagnose Check Engine Light

Hello, My "Maintenance Required" light went on last week, followed by my car not being able to accelerate and a "Check Engine" light. I was towed to the Toyota service shop. They didn't have a problem with the car but diagnosed and installed a pedal throttle sensor and didn't notice any other problems. Car drove fine across the 405 and 10 today, but the same problem occurred again on my way home. Maintenance light, followed by a lack of acceleration, followed by check engine light. I parked it in Santa Monica. I'm looking for somebody who can hook up a device to my car to possibly diagnose the problem so I can decide if I need it towed again. $50 Ocean Park & 5th Street SM
