WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Due to ongoing fears about the coronavirus, Gov. Murphy ordered that most New Jersey residents vote by mail in the upcoming Nov. 3 presidential election. To that end, the Middlesex County clerk announced it will begin mailing out the ballots this week. People covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act can vote in person at their assigned polling place, which may be different this year. All Woodbridge residents will soon receive a postcard with your assigned polling place, which may not be your regular place, so please read it carefully. And if you do not want to mail in your mail-in ballot, you can also vote at your assigned place on Nov. 3, Election Day. But even then you will only be able to vote by paper ballot and not by machine. Everyone will get a ballot by mail, which can be returned in the mail, dropped in the box outside of Town Hall before 8:00 p.m. on Election Night (Tues., Nov. 3) or dropped by the same deadline on Election Day to your assigned polling place. "It's a bit complicated so the easiest thing to do is vote right away when you get your ballot and get it in the mail or to the Town Hall drop box as soon as you possibly can," said Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac.
