Description
A 5-course authentic Native American dinner, paired with Lock 27 Brewing's 1492 beer, and a historical/cultural educational session. Lock 27 Brewing is turning 10, and we’re digging into our vault to bring you our 2nd of 10 historic beers – 1492. This beer is an American Red IPA brewed with Columbus hops to make the perfect blend of strong hop flavor and sweet malts. Though most people look at 1492 and think of Christopher Columbus, Lock 27 Brewing will focus on the often-overlooked stories of this historic year from the perspective of the Native American community. We’ll be holding an authentic dinner and educational event at our Dayton brewpub on Wednesday April 27th to highlight and celebrate Indigenous culture, contributions, and innovations. This event includes an authentic, made-from-scratch, 5-course meal provided by Indigenous Chef food truck, paired with our 1492 beer, and an educational session from members of SunWatch Indian Village and the Native American community in Dayton. This entire month, $1 from every purchase of our 1492 beer will go towards SunWatch Indian Village, a reconstructed Native American village and Interpretive Center located along the banks of the Great Miami right here in Dayton!
