WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Police are investigating a shooting that took place earlier Thursday in the Avenel section of Woodbridge. Someone was shot, but police are not releasing many details on who the victim was. Woodbridge police responded to the vicinity of Forest View Drive, to the Forest View apartments in response to shots fired just past 1 p.m. A single victim was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
