Description
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The Woodbridge Police Department will participate in the DEA's annual "National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day" this Saturday, October 24.
It will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in front of Woodbridge town hall, One Main Street.
Woodbridge residents should bring unused and expired prescription drugs (if possible in their original prescription container) to Woodbridge police, who will be waiting in front of Town Hall.
The national drug take-backs were designed by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency to prevent prescription drug abuse. For more information, contact Woodbridge police at 732-634-7700.
All expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs can potentially be very dangerous if left in the family's medicine cabinet.
This is a nationwide drug take-back held every October: According to the DEA, more than 882,919 pounds — that's 441.5 tons — of prescription drugs were collected at nearly 6,174 sites across the United States in October 2019.
