CANDLES ON THE WATERFRONT Candles + Fragrance Expo CHRISTMAS IN JULY Your participation is requested to be a part of something EXTRAORDINARY! The first black-owned candles and fragrance expo on the Maryland Potomac River at the scenic National Harbor on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 12pm - 7pm. This Pop-up will be an open to the public outdoor event under the National Harbor Capital Canopy (see images) and will feature black-owned candle, fragrance and beauty companies from across the country. Pop-up events are greating marketing tools because they use exclusivity, novelty, and fun to create experiences both shareable and memorable. They generate consumer excitement that can be wide-reaching (including people who were not at the event itself) and long-lasting. Pop-ups also provide fantastic opportunities for market research, brand engagement, and product awareness. In a 2020 survey by Event Track, 74 percent of consumers said they were more likely to purchase products promoted at a live event. National Harbor is a master-planned fourteen-year-old micro-city located in Maryland and strategically situated on scenic waterfront on the historic Potomac River, just across from Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia and Washington, D.C. It has rapidly become a tourism destination that attracts more than 14 million visitors annually. Stats National Harbor has a 2020 population of 4,296. SILVER / $495 - 7 x 7 | 1 table and 2 chairs will be provided 2. GOLD / $895 - 10 x 10 | 2 tables and 2 chairs will be provided 3. PLATINUM / $1500 - 12 x 12 | Vendors can design their own space or tables will be provided. Vendors must notify the Event Organizer 30 days prior to the event date of their decision. **Table location placement is based on a ticket order date. Early ticket sales will get assigned table location first. Vendor Rules: 1. Vendors are responsible for delivery, erection, removal, storage, and protection of their own displays, goods, and materials. 2. Electrical cords are not provided. 3. Vendors must display their work and staff their booth during all selling hours. Tables may not be dismantled during operating hours. 4. Vendors must have the necessary equipment and personnel to transport, load in, break down, and load out their individual table. 5. Vendors must dispose of all trash at end of event. 6. Vendors are responsible for lighting their individual tables. Electricity is provided free of charge. Vendors planning to use machinery, heating devices, or other high-consumption electrical equipment at their table must receive prior written approval for the use of said equipment. Additional fee may apply, and event organizers reserve the right to disconnect or cut power to any table using any such unapproved equipment. 7. Any extension cords used must be heavy-duty, three-prong outdoor type. Two-prong cords are not permitted. 8. Smoking is not permitted. 9. Event Organizers are not responsible for loss of or damage to vendor's property. 10. Table assignments are made based on the date of receipt of vendor's registration and payment. Early applicants are given priority in the assignment of table locations. 11. Selected vendors will be assigned their individual space based on configuration of the event space. 12. Event Organizers reserve the right to request removal of displays which have been misrepresented on their registration, as well as any work or displays deemed by the festival to be inappropriate.
