Join the Fort Monroe Authority, in partnership with the Hampton History Museum, National Park Service and the Hampton Public Library for a day of Fun at the Fort with crafts, activities, and exploration!
On Saturday, April 30th from 11am to 3pm join us at Fort Monroe for a FREE day of fun for the whole family. All are invited to participate in hands-on activities around the fort:
- scavenger hunt in the Casemate Museum,
-eye-spy activity from the rooftop terrace
- children’s reading circle with the Hampton Public Librarian
- arch building, creating origami cannons, and much more
The museum collections specialist will be on site to show visitors unique artifacts and answer questions. The archivist, using old plans for the design of the fort, will share how Fort Monroe has changed over time and help participants make their own fort design!
